Jaisalmer Fort

Patwon ki Haveli
Your next stop should be the beautiful clusters of five havelis, which are also the first haveli of Jaisalmer, the Patwon ki Haveli. Commissioned by Guman Chand Patwa in the early nineteenth century for his five sons, the haveli took about fifty years to complete its construction. Currently under the control of the government of India, the haveli houses the Archaeological Survey of India and the state’s Art and Craft Department.
Maharaja Fort
From the haveli, move forward to the spectral Maharaja fort, an architectural wonder that shifts from a tawny yellow in the morning to a glistening gold at night.
