Your 8 day Rajasthan journey concludes in Udaipur, the City of Lakes, with its beautiful lakes, palaces and romantic heritage setting. Day 1
Jaipur is the famous Pink City, and your Rajasthan journey shall begin upon your arrival in Jaipur. Once you arrive at Jaipur Airport or Railway Station, we will have our representative pick you up and assist you with the transfer to your hotel.
Let us keep you relaxed on your first day after your journey from Kolkata. After checking in and refreshing yourself, you can spend your evening soaking up the local ambiance around Jaipur or enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner.
Day 2
Post breakfast, you can start your Jaipur sightseeing with the exciting Amber Fort, one of the most prominent forts in Rajasthan.
The fort is on the hills around the city, and the view from the top is just breathtaking. We suggest you head towards Jal Mahal, which is situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, followed by visiting the old city with City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the iconic Hawa Mahal.
You can also spend some time exploring one of the traditional markets. The Johari Bazaar is famed for its jewellery, whereas Bapu Bazaar is known to have textiles, handicrafts and souvenirs.
Day 3
After breakfast, check-out from your Jaipur hotel and head towards Bikaner, the desert city in northern Rajasthan. The drive towards Bikaner shall take a couple of hours. So the day shall be planned keeping in mind a mix of travelling and sightseeing after arriving at Bikaner.
After checking in at Bikaner, you can explore the majestic Junagarh Fort with its palaces, courtyards, and intricate interior. If time permits, also visit the Lalgarh Palace or the National Research Centre on Camels, which is essential to get to know the significance of camels in Rajasthan’s desert ecosystem.
Another worthwhile visit is the Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok with its unique rat population, and the experience shall be unlike any other in your Rajasthan tour.
Day 4
After breakfast, check out from your Bikaner hotel and head towards Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan. As you head towards Jaisalmer, the terrain shall start to change and become increasingly desert-like, marking your true Rajasthan experience. After reaching Jaisalmer, check into your hotel and relax for some time.
Depending upon your arrival, you can explore the Gadisar Lake in the evening, which looks quite fascinating in the backdrop of the setting sun and the temple.
If you are someone who likes to relax without exhausting schedules in the evenings, then you can simply explore the local lanes around the old city and have dinner at a rooftop restaurant with a view of the Jaisalmer Fort.
Day 5
Start your day post-breakfast and explore the historical side of Jaisalmer.
You shall have the option to explore the famous Jaisalmer Fort, which is a living fort and has many families living in the interiors. Explore the Jain temples, narrow lanes, Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, and Nathmal Ki Haveli inside the fort complex.
In the afternoon, you shall head towards Sam Sand Dunes for your desert experience.
You can either choose to have a camel or jeep safari. Watching the sunset over the dunes is going to be a memorable experience for your Rajasthan holiday. In the evening, you can enjoy the local folk music and dance under the tents and then spend your night at a desert camp.
Day 6
You’ll be transferred back to your desert camp for breakfast. Later, check out from your camp and drive to the Blue City of Jodhpur.
Arrive at Jodhpur and check into your hotel. After that, we will go sightseeing in Jodhpur. Start with the stunning Mehrangarh Fort with superb views of the royal courtyards and blue colored houses.
Then head to the Jaswant Thada. This beautiful marble memorial is on the outskirts of the city, next to the Mehrangarh Fort. Later, witness the royal Umaid Bhawan Palace and explore the Clock Tower and Sardar Market (If time permits).
Jodhpur is a great place where you can explore the most prominent places of the city and still have enough time to shop for souvenirs and indulge in street snacks. The old city is comparatively smaller and can be easily explored.
