Tour Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival in Jaipur and Exploration
The starting point of the trip is Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. As you reach the starting point, our representative will collect you and take you to your hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel, check in and take a moment to relax. Afterwards, get ready for the first day of exploration.
Birla Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple)
Start your trip with a devotional note as you visit the gorgeous Bira Mandir. Craved in stunning white marble, the temple is as soft on the eyes as it is on the soul. It is the perfect place to connect with the Almighty.
Albert Hall Museum
Jaipur is a city with a rich history, and the best place to explore that history is the Albert Hall Museum. However, what's inside the museum is interesting; what is also quite eye-catching is its architect. The museum, built in the Indo-Saracenic style, is Jaipur’s oldest and a striking landmark. Here, you can view various artefacts, including royal costumes, ancient sculptures, and miniature paintings.
Old City & Local Market
The old city of Jaipur is the heart of the city. The old city and local markets are one of the finest examples of architectural genius, as they are one of the world's oldest planned cities, based on the rules of Vastu Sastra. However, if you are not interested in these GK facts, there are many other things here that might interest you, like jewellery, textiles, and local handicrafts.
Day 02 : Jaipur Sightseeing
Jaipur is not a city that can be explored in a single day. It is vast, both literally and metaphorically; therefore, on day two, you will continue your Jaipur exploration and visit some more interesting spots.
Amber Fort
Perched high above Maota Lake, the Amber Fort is a magnificent fortress that blends Rajput and Mughal design. Visitors can ride elephants up its ramparts, explore ornate courtyards, and marvel at the dazzling Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). Every stone here tells stories of Jaipur’s royal past and military grandeur.
City Palace
Situated in the heart of the old city, the City Palace is a glorious mix of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. It houses museums displaying royal costumes, artefacts, and weaponry. The complex’s courtyards, gateways, and grand halls reflect the luxurious lifestyle of Jaipur’s erstwhile Maharajas.
Jantar Mantar
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century. Featuring massive geometric instruments like the world’s largest sundial, it reflects Jaipur’s scientific and architectural brilliance long before the modern age of astronomy.
Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal is a one-of-a-kind building, not only in Jaipur but in the whole world. It is famous for its honeycomb façade featuring 953 latticed windows; the actual marvel is how it stands tall without any foundation.
Jal Mahal
Jal Mahal is another architectural wonder of Jaipur. It is a fort built right in the middle of an artificial water body, making it appear as if it's floating on water. What makes it even more beautiful is that it's not only surrounded by water but also has the Aravalli Hills as a backdrop.
Local Market
If, after a day full of exploring, you have any more energy left, you can once again explore the vibrant markets of the city and visit the spots you might have missed on day one.
Day 03 : Jaipur to Jodhpur Transfer & Sightseeing
On day three, you will begin your journey to the next destination of the trip, the gorgeous gateway to the Thar Desert, Jodhpur. Jodhpur is approximately 350 km from Jaipur, a comfortably paced 6-hour road trip that you can start right after breakfast and check out of your hotel in Jaipur.
Clock Tower & Local Market
Once you have completed your journey from Jaipur to Jodhpur, you must be a bit tired. Therefore, the best way to explore this new destination without adding to your long journey is by visiting the clock tower and taking a leisurely walk at the nearby local markets. They are the perfect place to experience Jodhpur’s local energy with bustling vendors, colourful spices, textiles, and handicrafts.
Day 04 : Explore Jodhpur City
While you explored some of the most beautiful spots of Jodhpur on day 3, there is much more to explore on day 4. Day four will reveal the true essence of this royal city as you visit places like the City Palace and take in the stunning blue views of Jodhpur.
Mehrangarh Fort
The moment you search Jodhpur on Google, a picture of a vast fort set on a hilltop pops up. This is the fort, the wallpaper image of the city, the Mehrangarh fort. The fort was built in the 15th century and still stands tall above the city, telling tales of great valour and grandeur.
Phool Mahal
Translating to “Palace of Flowers”, the Phool Mahal is not a separate structure. It is the most ornate room in Mehrangarh Fort. The room is adorned with golden ceilings and floral motifs, a reflection of the royal family's wealth. The mahal, originally designed by the Rathore dynasty for private royal gatherings, is a stunning representation of 18th-century Marwari luxury and art.
Moti Mahal
Just like Phool Mahal, Moti Mahal is also part of the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. It means “Pearl Palace,” in English, because the interplay of light and reflection in the chamber gives it a glow like that of a thousand stunning pearls. The original chamber was used for royal audiences and adorned with walls glittering with mirrorwork and vibrant frescoes.
Jaswant Thada
Also known as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar”, Jaswant Thada is a Memorial built in honour of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The actual structure of the thada is that of a white marble cenotaph, with carved marble panels which create a glowing effect.
Umaid Public Gardens & Museum
Located within the compound of the royal palace, Umaid Bhawan, the Umaid Public Garden and Museum are a must-visit for nature lovers and history buffs. The museum is situated amidst lush green lawns and displays ancient artefacts, textiles, and weapons from Jodhpur’s royal past.
Day 05 : Departure from Jaipur
Day five marks the end of the trip. You have two options to choose from, as per your convenience. You can either end your trip in Jodhpur or Jaipur. If you are travelling to Jodhpur, your driver will drop you off at Jodhpur airport, railway station, or bus stop. If you end your trip in Jaipur, your driver will return you to Jaipur and then drop you off at the Jaipur airport, railway station, or bus stop. However, where the trip ends depends on the itinerary you chose.
