Places & Forts In Jaipur

Rajasthan is the land of royals, meaning forts are a big part of its heritage, and the same is true for Jaipur. As the capital of the Royal State of Rajasthan, Jaipur has some major forts. Not only do these forts have historical significance, but they are also an architectural marvel. Most forts and heritage sites of the city are so well-made that their artistry feels unreal even after centuries. To add to that, their locations were also wisely selected by the kings who commanded them, as they are mostly enveloped by Mother Nature, making them even more beautiful and scenic.

01 : Amer Fort (Amber Fort) – Majestic Hilltop Fort/Palace Complex

Amer Fort will be the first fort you see when you go to Jaipur. It is a beautiful fort on a hilltop that shows off a great mix of Rajput and Mughal styles. The fort is made of red sandstone and marble and has many interesting parts, such as large courtyards, gorgeous apartments, and, of course, the Sheesh Mahal, which is famous for its mirror work. The fort is bordered by the Aravalli hills and Maota Lake, which makes it even more beautiful. It is one of Jaipur's most famous sights.
