Tour Overview

Though people now explore the unusual side of Rajasthan, nothing can beat the charm of traditional Rajasthan, which takes you through history and lands you right in the middle of the Thar Desert. If the old-school conventional experience is what you are looking for, then one of our Jaipur Jodhpur Jaisalmer tour packages is the right choice for you. The itinerary will take you through the three J’s of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and, of course, Jaisalmer.

Rajasthan is a vast state, both geographically and culturally. While the state’s overall vibe is rich in history, culture, and art, each city here remains distinct. While this is great for someone visiting the state, it becomes very difficult when they have to choose between a few cities. To make it easier for you, we have curated a Jaipur Jodhpur Jaisalmer itinerary that best represents the state’s more commonly known side. Starting in Jaipur, this trip will first introduce the rich cultural history and architectural excellence of the various kings who have ruled the city.

Jaipur has several unique spots that were built with a level of precision ahead of its time. The next spot on the list is the gateway to the Thar, Jodhpur. The city is known for its unique blue houses and exceptionally delicious food. While it is located a decent distance from Jaisalmer, you can still smell a bit of the desert here. And finally, you reach Jaisalmer, the golden city, the city of the second-largest desert in the world.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Jaipur

Your Triple J journey through Rajasthan will start in the state’s capital, Jaipur. As you arrive in Jaipur, you will be met by our representative, who will pick you up from the airport/railway station and take you to your hotel. Once in the hotel, complete the check-in formalities, stretch your legs a bit, and then get ready to explore the city.

  • Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is also known as the “Palace of Winds.” It is a pink sandstone façade that features hundreds of small windows overlooking the city. It was built so that the royal women could observe street life without being discovered or disturbed.

  • Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is a UNESCO-listed observatory built centuries ago to observe the movement of the stars and other celestial phenomena. The observatory has large architectural instruments that were used historically to measure time, track stars, and observe celestial events.

  • City Palace Museum

The City Palace was the former private residence of the royal family. It is a royal complex that is still partly occupied by Jaipur’s royal family, with some parts open to the public. People can now visit the palace, which houses a museum displaying weapons, textiles, and artefacts from Rajasthan’s regal history.

  • Govind Dev Ji Temple & Market

Govind Dev Ji is one of the most visited Hindu temples in the city. This sacred temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The quiet temple is quiet yet vibrating with energy. The best time to visit is during evening prayers. You can also explore the best market after visiting the temple.

Day 2

Jaipur Sightseeing

Jaipur is not just the capital of Rajasthan. It is the capital of art, culture, and traditions. Therefore, this city deserves a second day of exploration. So, have an early breakfast and get ready to hit the streets.

  • Amer Fort:

Amer Fort is a grand hilltop fort combining Rajput and Mughal architecture. Inside the fort, you can explore some of the most beautiful palaces, courtyards, and the famous Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace).

  • Jaigarh Fort:

Located somewhat between the Amer Fort and the Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort is known for its massive cannon, Jaivana. The fort offers commanding views over the Amber Fort and Jaipur’s rugged hillsides.

  • Nahargarh Fort:

Naharganh fort is one of the most scenic spots of Jaipur. The fort is perched on the Aravalli Hills and provides panoramic sunset views of Jaipur and the surrounding countryside, including the Jal Mahal.

  • Jal Mahal:

The name of this palace literally means the ” Water Palace” in English. It is a palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, looking like it is floating on the water. Its reflection on the water looks beautiful from the shore, making it a prime photo spot.

  • Birla Temple:

This serene white marble temple has a beautiful backdrop of the Aravalli Range. The temple is dedicated to Vishnu and Lakshmi. With a calm vibe, the temple looks exceptionally beautiful against the setting sun in the background.

Day 3

Jaipur to Jodhpur Transfer & Sightseeing

Day three is when you finally leave for the second destination of this trip, Jodhpur. Also known as the Blue City, Jodhpur has so much to offer. The city, while quite similar to Jaipur in some ways, remains extremely unique, with its own feel and soul. As you reach the city, quickly check into your hotel and get ready to step out already.

  • Mehrangarh Fort.

The first and foremost stop on today’s itinerary must be Mehrangarh Fort. It is a dominant hilltop fort with expansive ramparts, palaces, and a museum containing royal relics. It offers sweeping views over the “Blue City” below.

  • Jaswant Thada:

Jaswant Thada is the place where the heart of the city beats. It is a white marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Its intricate marble screens and gardens make it peaceful and photogenic.

  • Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) Market:

Another hidden, or lesser-known, gem within the city is the Ghanta Ghar. The tower is where the locals meet. It is a vibrant local market surrounding the iconic clock tower, full of spices, textiles, handicrafts, and traditional Rajasthani items.

Day 4

Jodhpur To Jaisalmer Transfer & Sightseeing

Once you have had your breakfast, depart for Jaisalmer. You should stop en route at the Jaisalmer War Memorial to pay tribute. On arrival in Jaisalmer, check into your hotel and rest. Afterwards, explore the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort, a living fortress that houses shops, temples, and homes inside its sandstone walls. You will then have an overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

  • Jaisalmer War Memorial

The Jaisalmer war memorial is a tribute to Indian soldiers. This memorial features tanks and exhibits, acknowledging their bravery and sacrifice against the harsh desert backdrop.

  • Jaisalmer Fort

Jaisalmer is called the Golden City not only for its glittering sand but also for its beautiful buildings made of yellow stone. The best and biggest example of the same is the Jaisalmer fort. It is built in golden-yellow sandstone, on a hill. In fact, the fort is still inhabited, making it one of the very few living forts in the world. It features narrow alleys, Jain temples, and shops that glow with stunning beauty in the desert sun.

Day 5

Jaisalmer Sightseeing & Desert Camp

As you wake up in Jaisalmer, continue the exploration of this beautiful city before you finally get transferred to the desert camp for an evening full of fun, followed by an overnight stay.

  • Gadisar Lake:

Start your day with a scenic view at Gadisar Lake. It is a historic water reservoir surrounded by temples and ghats. Once it used to be the main water source of Jaisalmer, but now it offers calm reflections and a serene environment in the heart of the desert city.

  • Patwon / Nathmal / Salim Singh Havelis:

The city’s rich art and culture are evident in its various structures. The city is known for its havelis, may it be the Patwon ki haveli or Salim Singh ki Haveli, making them all a mandatory stop on your list. These are exquisite mansions built by wealthy merchants, famous for their ornate stone carvings, jharokhas, and architectural detail.

  • Sam Sand Dunes & Desert Camp:

And finally, it will be time for one of the most exciting parts of the trip, the Sam sand dunes and desert camp. As you visit the sand dunes, enjoy some thrilling activities like camel rides, dune bashing (optional), jeep ride, etc., before you finally settle in the camp, where you can experience Rajasthani music and dance around a bonfire under the stars.
